Pull It Day
October 12
The Wayzata Volunteers need help removing the annual flowers. On Dig It Day the troop planted flower beds and now the city is asking for volunteers for the annual Pull It Day event, where the flowers are removed from the flower beds. Flowers will be removed from flower beds along Lake Street and at other city gardens during this morning event. No gardening experience required! Volunteers will meet with their gardening gloves. The event starts at 9:00 a.m. and it is expected to only take a half hour.
We will meet at the Wayzata Public Works building and enjoy free donuts and coffee. The mayor and Mr. Klapridge will give a speech. After that, we head to the beach and pull the flowers we planted in the spring.
This counts towards your service hours that are needed for rank advancement. Plus it's lots of fun and you can bring along your whole family!
Fee: None!
When: Gather at 8:45am at Wayzata Public Works Building on October 12. This will only take about 30 minutes.
Equipment: Gardening gloves are strongly recommended.
