Eagle Project: Helping Haitian Mothers

My name is Ellie Lawrance and I am a scout in Girls Troop 283 out of Wayzata, MN. I am currently Life rank working toward my Eagle, the biggest part of Eagle Rank is my Eagle Scout Project. For my project I have decided to help new mothers and babies in Haiti by creating birthing and layette kits. My goal is to get 50 of each kit, so a total of 100 kits!

I went to Haiti last summer (2019) with my church's youth group so I have seen first hand the kind of living conditions these mothers have to give birth in.

After you have signed up for what you want to donate you can have it shipped to my house (141 Peavey Lane, Wayzata) or drop it off at the Wayzata Community Church, just inside the west entrance by the children's library. 

I am also having a bake sale to fund the shipping costs and extra items for kits. The bake sale will be at Gopher Ace Hardware (1865 Wayzata Blvd, Long Lake) on Saturday the 12th from 10-4. You can also drop off your donations at the bake sale.
